Writer Seeking
Resume...
For as long as I can remember, I've been
telling or writing stories. My mother would quip that I
had a "wild imagination". I just loved thinking up new
adventures. I would often "self-publish" my stories by
printing them as neatly as I could, adding colorful
illustrations and then binding them with good old cardstock and
staples. I didn't stop with short stories, oh no, I also
wrote my own screenplays for my sisters, cousins and any willing
kids in the neighborhood to act out.
When I got a little older, I discovered
poetry. I wrote about things that spoke to my heart and
mostly kept my poems to myself. They were private.
They were my outlet during my teen years. And then,
towards the end of High School, I started working on longer
stories based on people I knew that I hoped one day I would turn
into novels. It's only been recently that I've begun to
take my dream of becoming a writer more seriously and while I do
not have an impressive resume at the moment I'm enjoying the
practice.
